What is a coworking space?

A coworking space is a mixture of a regular office space and a shared office space. Coworking spaces allow entrepreneurs to have the benefits of a regular office environment without the high costs. Coworking spaces offer many of the same benefits as a regular office, such as a business address, networking opportunities, flexible working hours, and so on. These places attract many kinds of people, including freelancers, business people, remote workers, and startups.

What is the point of coworking space?

We guess there is no need to make presentations about the fact that today we are living in the era of freelancers, digital nomads and startups. In the case of a company, it is convenient to rent an office or a separate room for the employees. If a startup is small, it is much cheaper to rent a place for the office separately than to rent a whole large room in a big office. Other options are also available. For example, there are offices where you can rent a day or a half-day. But another option that is gaining popularity is coworking. The essence of coworking is the opportunity to rent a desk or a room at a lower price than to rent a whole office. The number of people who are ready to share a room is constantly growing. Coworking space is a place where you can share your experience with other people who think like you.

With the number of coworking spaces constantly increasing, the question that arises is: how many of them are there in the whole world?. A coworking space is a type of an office that is accessible to people who do not work there. It’s also known as a shared office space. Coworking spaces have become very popular in the past few years. People choose to work in a coworking space because they provide freedom, autonomy and the opportunity to work with other people. We decided to take a look at how many coworking spaces there are in the world, what are the most popular cities and how did this whole coworking spaces hype start.
